Marketing FAQs.

Along with website design and graphic design, we specialise in SEO, social media, Google Ads, Re-marketing, Display Ads, Google shopping.

It isn’t possible to spot the cheapest form of marketing, to fully understand which is the cheapest you need to be able to compare your spend against the value of the sales received. If you’re not receiving sales and enquiries from your marketing then that makes for a very expensive marketing strategy, no matter how cheap it may seem at face value. Always test a marketing tool with a lower budget to begin with and then review the return received in order to make a judgement.

We often find that marketing managers and marketing tools that claim to be cheap are often the most expensive as you pay a lot out and receive very little back.

This varies from sector to sector, but as a general rule you will need to get your website in order first, before directing traffic to it. From there a good investment is in SEO as this will help you climb Google’s organic listings, which are not only free but where many potential clients go to when seeking out your products or services. Added to that a website with good SEO is usually cheaper on paid ads.

After SEO you have two main routes to choose from, Google Ads and Social Media.

Google Ads are a very powerful tool as any potential client will see your advert at the precise moment they are looking to pay for your products or services, so it makes sense to be right there when they need you.

Social media is a fantastic way of raising your brand awareness ready for when potential customers require your product or services. It is also very powerful in the way that people and companies will ring out your praises when you do a good job for them, so it’s almost like getting your customers to do your marketing for you!

Brookstone can manage an entire marketing solution including strategy planning. So too can we implement a pre-defined strategy defined by you.

This depends upon you the client and what works best for you. Our favourite way is through face to face meetings as we can work around the same table to review and plan. But if email reporting or video conferencing works best for you then we’re happy to accommodate that for you.

We dedicate allocated hours each month to your company, allowing us to act as an extension to your marketing team or even to be a full outsourced marketing department. Our marketing charges would depend on the scale and nature of your project.

SEO FAQs.

SEO (search engine optimisation) is a managed process to help your website climb the search engines, in order to increase quality enquiries and valuable sales.

SEO got a bad name for itself in the early days with self-proclaimed SEO experts popping up and cheating their way to the top of Google. Although some of these people still exist the practice of cheating your way to the top has almost been completely stamped out by Google.

High quality SEO is still very relevant and can bring in a lot of sales if carried out correctly, along with the huge list of demands and guidance Google sets out today.

No not really, well not anymore anyway.

There was a time some years back when SEO was all about inserting keywords in the right places and the right density. Although this is still relevant it’s just part of the overall scoring mechanism Google uses now when it’s deciding how to rank your website.

Amongst many other elements Google will be reviewing your website’s content and relevance and the way in which visitors engage with the website or to leave it.

SEO is a huge subject, so if you want to delve deeper then pop in to see us or give us a call.

This is dependent on many elements including your market place competition, geographic target areas and the size and quality of your website, but as a guide our SEO starts from just £1200 per month. The best way to get an exact price is to get in touch and explain what you are trying to achieve.

Back linking holds many opportunities for SEO, but it also holds many dangers. Yes we can and will use back linking if required, but we would always begin with the the SEO properties on the website itself. If after that you still require back linking a very closely monitored program would commence.

Our SEO is strictly kept in-house. Outsourcing SEO comes with too much danger, so we control our own SEO contracts.

Website FAQs.

A good old-fashioned chat is the best way to start a new project. This way we can get to know you and your business a little better in order to give you the right advice and guidance.

We can work with most website platforms, but the most popular are Wordpress, Joomla, Shopify and Magento.

This depends on many factors, too many to go into here, but as a general rule we would recommend sticking to the following platforms: Wordpress, Joomla, Shopify or Magento.

For a more in-depth answer to this question feel free to speak with one of our designers.

The answer to this is quite subjective, in that some would recommend a basic platform like Wix or those you see on TV adverts.

Yes they are cheap and they are easy to build, but there are many limitations that aren’t broadcast on the TV ads that drive many business owners to scrap their cheap website and rebuild on a decent platform like Wordpress or Joomla.

We always recommend beginning on a quality platform like Wordpress or Joomla, even if you keep it small to begin with as this will allow your website to grow and evolve with your business, rather than working against you and holding you back.

Yes we will provide this unless you choose otherwise.

You will fully own the website.

You can walk away with your website without any further costs.

Most clients however like us to host and maintain their website to keep it running at its best (a bit like servicing a car). If you choose this option there will be a small monthly charge, or you can manage all of this yourself.

No Brookstone websites are not cheap as each site is tailor made for our clients. We’ve never been accused of being expensive though, just very good value for money.

Yes it will. In most business sectors mobiles are usually the favourite method of viewing websites these days.

Yes we can do this for you and set it all up in your name.

Yes we can fully manage the process, whether it’s to take on the existing website or to build a new website on your existing domain.
